Adding Eighth Note Feet To The Single Stroke 9

In this lesson you will focus on adding eighth note feet under the single stroke nine. The purposes of this is to develop co ordination and hand speed. For each foot pattern I have shown both the version starting on the beat and the version that ends on the beat and each of these have standard and reverse sticking given. It is important to learn each of these stickings with each given foot pattern. The given feet patterns will be similar to those shown in previous lessons on a similar topic for different rudiments.

Remember to practice with a metronome as much as possible and to start the exercises at a low tempo. Only start raising the speed when you have the placement of all notes correct.
