Single Stroke 7 Fills Using Hand To Foot Triplets

In this lesson you will be creating fills based on a Single Stroke Seven the follow the level 2 Hand To Foot Triplet fill construction idea. I would advise reading through that lesson first as the shapes used in the patterns shown on this page are directly dirived from the linked lesson. These patterns will be played as sixteenth note triplets so will require good co ordination between the limbs so it may be worth looking back over our level 1, 2 and 3 hand/foot co ordination and independance exercises also.

Each of the fills below is written as a half bar pattern. They can easily be extended to full bar fills by playing twice or adding some other fill idea for the first half of a bar. In each pattern, make sure you can play the part accurately at a lower tempo before building up speed. Some of these fills will be quite similar to our Linear Single Stroke Seven Fills and you will notice prominant use of Flams through these fills.
