Adding 8th Note Rests To The Right Hand

In this groove concept you will be adding eighth note rests into the right hand part of a groove to create a slightly different rhythmic effect. To achieve this you are just going to remove certain right hand strokes. Various examples of this are shown below. For each exercise the hi hat part has been given as well as an example with groove applied. Hi hats have been used in all examples but experiment with different parts of the kit for the right hand. Some of these patterns get very similar to the Offbeat 8th Notes idea discussed in level 1.

You will only find rests added on the numbered counts, if rests were to fall on the '+' counts the previous note would just be written as a crotchet.
