In this lesson you will be learning another offbeat knare movement that replaces the standard 16th note with a 16th note triplet. In all patterns the first note of the triplet will be played on a right hand with the other triplet notes filled in on the kick. On this page you will focus on two placements, count 2 and count 4 this means they will immediately follow the snare. I will start out by showing the placements, both individually then together, then grooves will be built using the new kick placements.
Here is the momement on beat 1 with both eighth and quarter note right hands.
Then on beat 3 with both eighth and quarter note right hands.
Then placed on both counts.

Pay particular attention to the dynamics around the triplet kicks. The notes are fast so it will be very easy to let one note drop quieter than the other.
