Decorating Simple Grooves With Swung Offbeat 16th Snares

In this lesson you will be learning some simple decoration for grooves played with a swung sixteenth note feel. This will involve adding some offbeat sixteenth style snares to level 0 groove patterns with eighth note right hands. This will feel similar to our standard offbeat snares movement (lesson linked at the bottom of the page) only played with that jumpy triplet feel.

Listed below are five versions of this groove idea. On the right you have the short hand 'swing time notation' version and on the left a more standard notation. The most important thing to remember when learning the mechanical side of this part is that the snares no longer fall exactly in between the hi hats.
