3/4 Groove Based Foot Speed Exercises

In this lesson you will be using groove patterns to help increase the speed and stamina of your right foot within the time signature of 3/4. Similar ideas have been covered in the time signatures of 4/4 and 6/8 and links to these and other useful lessons can be found at the bottom of the page. If you have covered those lessons linked below the parts on this page should be quite straight forward.

The intention here is to provide groove patterns to be used as an exercise in pushing your foot tempo, so the two minute rule (also linked below) is very useful to use here. When working on increasing tempo, it is important that you can play the exercise at a low tempo first before gradually increasing the speed.
