Double Stroke Triplet With Quarter Note Feet

In this lesson you will be adding crotchet feet patterns underneath the Double Stroke Triplet. The hands will all be played in an Eighth Note Triplet rhythm so the feet will fall with every third note, however the sticking won't fall inline the way you would expect.

The feet patterns in this lesson will be the same as those given in similar lessons for different rudiments. They are important to practice though as the co ordination and independence between limbs will be drastically different with this rudiment. Remember to use a metronome as much as possible and to work on the timing slowly before pushing the tempo to higher speeds.

Standard and reverse sticking has been shown for each exercise, working on both versions is very important.
