In theory, 5/4 is a relatively easy time signature. Like 3/4 and 4/4, 5/4 is a simple time signature, meaning that eighth notes are grouped in twos or fours and sixteenth notes in fours. Compared to 4/4 there is an extra crotchet beats worth of music in each bar.
