Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Drumscore.com, the largest collection of free drum kit notation on the internet. All scores are notated from scratch by me, Dan Brigstock.

All scores will soon be in PDF format and you will need a PDF reader such as Adobe or Foxit to open them. The majority are hosted here but some links will re direct you to pages from onlinedrummer.com .

If you require a transcription that isn't up on the site i am now taking requests on a pay per song system. Check the services page for more details on this and other transcription related services I offer.

Over the last year I have been working with NoRegretz publishing on writing and releasing a series of transcription books. The first of these are now on sale in PDF format! Each book contains all the tracks from selected albums along with detailed notes on notation, tips on using the books and notes on some of the more difficult parts of select songs. I'm very excited about this, please show your support and buy them, only £6.50/$9.99.

Song Of The Week:

Green Day - 21 Guns        Tempo = 80bpm Difficulty=2/5

A nice easy one for you this week. The massive single from Green Day's '21st Century Break Down' Album

The song starts with an introduction and half a verse of just guitar and vocal then kicks in in bar 14 with a laid back simple beat. Before breaking into the huuuge chorus you have a change in rhythm to just kicks followed by a flam.

The chorus switches between two patterns. In the first your left foot is playing constant 8th notes whilst the hands move between toms and flams on the snare. The second is just a straight groove using the second crash. The second verse and chorus are almost exactly the same as you've seen before, which is always nice!

The middle 8 again is a straight beat making use of 2 crash cymbals and has open hi hats this time. A nice simple fill finishes the section.

The guitar solo is a nice straight beat with off beat snares and a built up at the end. The rest of the song is just repetition of what you've seen before.

Why learn this song?

A great one for beginners, as the parts are simple you can focus more on your timing and technique.
