'RLLFRL' Fills With Right Hands On Toms

In this lesson you will be building one bar fills by applying a simple orchestration to the 'RLLFRL' sticking pattern. This will just involve playing the part with all right hands moving around different toms and lefts staying planted on the snare. You can find a link to various other lessons on this sticking pattern, included a basic walk through of the movement, at the bottom of the page.

Whilst the fills created here sound good in most contexts, they work particularly well against a more straight rhythm part as that will further emphasize the syncopation. Use the five ideas given below as a starting point to creating your own syncopated fills.
