In this lesson you will be applying the paradiddle diddle sticking to the time signature of 3/4. If you have covered our original lesson in 4/4 this will be pretty simple as you just play one less block of the rudiment in each bar. At the bottom of the page you will find a collection of links you may find useful when learning these parts.
Listed below are two versions of the paradiddle diddle applied to the time signature of 3/4, the first with standard sticking and the second with reverse.
Exercise 1
A Paradiddle in 3/4 with standard sticking. Notice that the sticking for the second bar is the exact reverse of the first.
Exercise 2
A Paradiddle in 3/4 with reverse sticking. Notice that again, the sticking for the second bar is the exact reverse of the first.
