In this double paradiddle lesson you will swith the time signature of the basic rudiment from 4/4 to 6/8. In 4/4 you played this as both eighth note triplets and sextuplets to force the six note grouping to fit within the four note blocks of the time signature. This is unneccessary in 6/8 as the time signature is naturally using blocks of three and six. So, in the examples given below the sticking has been shown over eighth note sixteenths in 6/8. At the bottom of the page you will find links to lessons you may find useful when learning these parts.
