In this lesson you will be shown five simple 'AAAB' patterns in 6/8, all of which are built around a dotted eighth note back beat, giving them a syncopated/polymetric feel. The fills will be built to fit around this feel also. The point of these exercises is to both improve your playing in this feel and time signature and to give you some ideas for applying these parts practically. At the bottom of the page you will find some useful links that will help the learning process.
