16th Note 'Snare Snare Kick Snare' One Beat Groove Building Block

In this lesson you will be learning one beat groove 'building block that involves a specific movement between the right hand and right foot that is intended to provide a little decoration around the back beat. This idea can be applied to any time signature and genre and there are options for adding ghost notes and accents so this is a very versatile idea.

The shape will start on the back beat of the groove and will add a 16th note snare immediately after, followed by a kick and another snare both played as 16th notes. All snares will be played with the left hand so being competant at the Double Stroke Roll is useful. The one beat pattern looks like this:
