'R L L F R L' Exercise

In this lesson you will be creating a 6/8 variation of the 'R L L F' exercise learned in an earlier lesson. The change to a compound time signature means that notes are now grouped in 3s or 6s so to account for this you are going to add two extra strokes to the end, giving you 'R L L F R L'.

You will be following the same lesson layout as the 'R L L F' excerise so on this page you will be shown the exercise as straight eighth notes and sixteenth notes first. This will be followed by versions where right hand accents and ghost notes are appplied. The aim here is to get you comfortable with the pattern at a decent tempo. There will then be lessons on applying this in both grooves and fills.
