Standard Triplet Accenting Four Strokes

In this lesson you will be learning some more Accent placements for the double stroke triplet. In all of the exercises presented on this page you will be accenting runs of four strokes. Various placements are given below, some starting on the left and some on the right. Remember when accenting to make the note with the '>' symbol above it louder than the rest. You can achieve this by lifting your stick slightly higher than normal and pushing down with it a little more.

The difficult part of these exercises will be when you have to accent one half of a double stroke. Start out slow, make sure you use good technique and really focus on stick height.
