Train Groove With The Backbeat On The Floor Tom

In this lesson you will be learning a new variation of the train groove where the accented back beats are now moved from the snare to the floor tom. This softens the backbeat slightly making it quite suitable for softer songs. Combining this with ghosted snares works really well.

Listed below are several versions of this new idea with various other tran groove construction methods. To help the learning process, sticking and counting is included in each exercise. This is by no means an exhaustive list, use the given parts as a basis to create and experiment with your own parts.
