Sticking For The Double Stroke Triplet In 3/4

In this lesson you will be taking the double stroke triplet and applying it within the context of 3/4. Like with other rudiments applied in a new time signature, this sticking doesn't fit comfortably in one bar of the time signature. In fact, it takes four bars worth before the start of the rudiment lines back up with the start of the bar. The exercises on this page should be fairly straight forward if you are familiar with the original rudiment (linked below), the focus on your practice here should be getting comfortable with the sticking in the new time signature. When orchestrations and feet start being applied, the feel of the time signature will become much more prominent.

Below I have shown the rudiment as eighth note triplets in both standard and reverse sticking.
