Paradiddle Diddle Moving In Blocks Of Three

Continuing with ideas for orchestrating a paradiddle diddle, in this lesson you will be taking the basic rudiment and splitting it into groups of three. Each of these groups of three will then be played on a different drum. The orchestration is relatively simple as you are switching voice on every '+' count, however this happens on a double stroke, meaning you will be moving between two drums with one hand quite often.

The intention here is to get your comfortable with moving around the kit in 'blocks' of a set number within this rudiment and you will be expanding on this in later lessons. These patterns will work well as fills without any adjustment. Feet have been included in all exercises but make sure you can play the hand part before adding these in. Remember, a paradiddle diddle sticking is used throughout.
