A A A B Exercises Using Half Bar '3 + 4e+a' Fills

This lesson expands on our AAAB part construction idea by using a half bar fill built from a '3 + 4e+a' rhythm. Again, the aim here is to improve your ability to switch from groove to fill and back again without any breaks in timing whilst also teaching you a new fill idea. Play the exercises along to a metronome to ensure the your are getting the timing right. It may also be worth learning the fill separately before attempting to play the full pattern.

The percentage sign repeat mark has been used here to stop the notation getting squashed. At the bottom of the page you will find links to lessons you may find helpful in the learning process. If you find yourself struggling at any point have a look through some of these.
