In this reverse triplet orchestration concept the double strokes of the rudiment will move around the kit whilst the single stays planted on the snare as you have done in a similar orchestration lesson. This time however, the double strokes will only be playing on cymbals. The parts should be fairly straight forward as you have may have covered similar in previous lessons, you can find some of these linked at the bottom of the page. Don't be afraid to start each pattern slowly and build up tempo as you get more comfortable with them.
Listed below are six exercises following this orchestration concept, remember that your hands will always be playing a reverse triplet. The first two examples are given to help familiarize you with the movements involved in the later exercises.
