Double Stroke Triplet With A Planted Right Hand Floor Tom

In this double stroke triplet orchestration concept you will plant the right hand on the floor tom whilst the left moves around various other parts of the kit. This helps to further emphasize the syncopated two note groupings within the eighth note triplets. The idea has been applied in other rudiments and you can find links to these and other useful lessons at the bottom of the page.

Remember, you hands will always be playing a double stroke triplet in all exercises of this series. I have included feet, it may be worth removing them whilst you are learning the orchestration then adding them back in later. Experiment with using different feet patterns from our previous lessons.
