Full Bar Eighth Note '334' Grouped Fills In 5/4

In this lesson you will be learning some syncopated fills in the time signature of 5/4 that involve moving around the kit in a set movement. The grouping you will be following is described as a '334' rhythm and each of these numbers refers to how many eighth notes are played in that grouping. So in this case you will play 3 eighth notes, followed by another 3 eighth notes followed by 4 eighth notes. These will all be played without gaps and refers more to the way the part is orchestrated around the kit. This will become clearer as you work through the example fills. The '334' rhythm is shown below using phrase markings to clarify how the groupings fall.
