In this lesson you will be learning a double paradiddle orchestration that involves moving the rudiment around the kit in small blocks of three sixteenth notes. This movement occurs mid way through the rudiment and you will need to keep a close eye on the sticking to ensure you are moving correctly. This is a great exercise in hand co ordination and is very worth practicing. The orchestrations themselves will all be very straight forward, it's just this hand switching that makes them a little more complicate.
The intention here is to get your comfortable with moving around the kit in 'blocks' of a set number within this rudiment and you will be expanding on this in later lessons. These patterns will work well as fills without any adjustment. Feet have been included in all exercises but make sure you can play the hand part before adding these in. Remember, a double paradiddle sticking is used throughout.
