In this lesson you will be applying the '1e+' sixteenth note grouping to the right hand of 7/8 grooves. This has been done with other time signatures at various other levels so you should be at least partially familiar with the concept. Because of the 'cut short' feel of the 7/8 time signature this rhythm doesn't entirely fill the bar. You will end up with three full occurrences of the rhythm with a single quaver at the end of the bar. That right hand rhythm is shown below on the hi hat.
Spend some time getting familiar with this base rhythm as all groove example on this page are built around this. Listed below are several grooves with this right hand rhythm applied. If at any point you find yourself struggling, slow the part right down and sort out your note placement. Once you have the part accurate you can then worry about speeding up. At the bottom of this page you will also find a list of links to useful lessons.
