'AAAB' Based On An Eighth And Quarter Note Right Hand

In this lesson you will be shown five simple 'AAAB' patterns in 4/4, all of which are based around a multi layered groove that involves playing quarters and the ride and offbeat eighths on the hi hat. The point of these exercises is to both improve your ability to play this style of groove and to give you some ideas for applying these parts practically.

At the bottom of the page you will find some useful links that will help the learning process. Use all given examples as a starting point to create your own versions of the part.
