The four bar phrases presented in this lesson continue exploring the 'AAAB' Structure, this time focusing on using fills built of single stroke eighth note triplets. The switch from groove to fill will be a little more difficult here due to the switch in timing and some exercises will be linked at the bottom of the page that will help get you more comfortable with this. The intention here is to improve your familiarity with the structure, your ability to apply triplets, increase your options for fills and to improve your ability to switch between different rhythms.
