Train Grooves With A Left Foot Crotchet Count

In this lesson you will be expanding on the Train Groove learned in a previous lesson by applying a Left Foot Crotchet Count underneath. Very similar movements have been covered in our lessons on adding feet under the single stroke roll. Some of these will be linked at the bottom of the page and are worth looking at if you are struggling with the patterns given below.

The groove shown below all use a common time feel and have level 0 style kick patterns. The left foot maintains a quarter note count through the bar, this is a very useful in time keeping terms as it keeps a solid, consistant beat that is easy for other musicians to latch onto. This becomes even more useful when more complicated rhythms and grooves are used. Take your time with the given examples, make sure all note placements are accurate.
