Adding A 'C' Section To A Four Bar Phrase In 5/4

This lesson expands on our previous level 1 phrase involving the addition of a C section to 4/4 Patterns. The structure for the exercises on this page will be the same as the linked lesson so it would be useful to have a quick look over at least the top image. The difference on this page is that the whole phrase will be in the time signature of 5/4. A similar idea has been applied also to the Time Signature Of 6/8.

As with the previous lesson, both the B and C parts are going to be fills, but you are going to approach the two different fills in different ways. The 'B' is now going to be a subtle fill which can either be just a variation on the groove or a Short Fill. The 'A' will be a groove as usual.

Listed below are several examples of this structure.
