In this lesson you will be learning another variation for double time grooves that involves speeding up the right hand to sixteenths. This will make the part feel a lot like common time patterns played much faster but it is the relationship with the bar and the metronome that is important here. This page actually just combines other ideas learned in other lessons to create some new parts and links to these, and other useful lessons, can be found at the bottom of the page.
When you start to increase the tempo, these parts can be quite demanding on hand stamina. Exercises for this are given at the bottom of the page. Listed below are several versions of double time grooves with this new right hand part. Use these as a starting point to create your own double time patterns.
