Sixteen Beat Singles Tom Orchestration Groove In Half And Double Time

In this lesson you will be learning about playing the Single Stroke Tom Orchestration 16 Beat Groove in half and double time. These grooves are just a continuation of the previous lesson so if you have covered that already, this will be quite straight forward.

To create the alternate 'feels' you are just going to alter the snare placement as you would in any other case. So for half time switch to one snare on beat 3 and for double time play snares on all '+' counts. Below you will find a list of 10 grooves using the orchestrated singles idea, half in double time and the rest in half time. Work through each given groove then have a go at coming up with your own ideas.
