Adding eighth note feet ostinatos using a swung rhythm to the swiss army triplet.
In this lesson you will be adding swung eighth note feet patterns underneath the swiss army triplet. The hands will all be played as eighth note triplets so the feet will fall inline with every left hand. Take your time with these exercises. The sticking is farm more complex than previous rudiments and it is very important your note placement is accurate.
- Using the 2 minute rule, get the exercises up to a tempo of 130bpm with good hand technique.
- Reverse the sticking in each exercise.
- Create your own feet patterns for the exercises.
- Play all 6 exercises as a continuous 6 bar pattern, then repeat.
