Applying a more interesting eighth note rhythm over the two feet.
In this lesson you will be applying a swung eighth note rhythm across the two feet underneath the straight single stroke triplet. To play a swung eighth rhythm you will place notes on the first and last of a triplet, you can find a lesson on this at the bottom of the page.
In the examples below I have used various versions of the rhythm. If you are unsure of the placements, try to latch the foot on to the appropriate hand. Use the given examples as a starting point to create your own parts.
- Using the 2 minute rule, get all exercises up to a tempo of 140bpm.
- Create some different feet patterns under the rudiment.
