Fills Constructed With A 'RLRLRF' Movement In 9/8

Applying the 'RLRLRF' fill building block in the time signature of 9/8.

In this 9/8 fill construction lesson you will be applying the RLRLRF fill building block used previously as syncopated rhythm in 4/4. In 9/8 the six note block fits really nicely, creating a compound style rhythm by playing the movement three times.

If you have covered the lesson on the base sticking pattern, you just need to get your head around the new timing. Listed below are several versions of this pattern orchestrated in various ways. The first couple of exercises are kept nice and simple to familiarize you with the part.
