Create a groove style fill using an inverted paradiddle orchestrated in a specific way.
The fill presented in this lesson is just a simple orchestration of the inverted paradiddle but it sounds pretty cool. The idea is to play the left hand on the snare then with the right play a cymbal. Some examples of this are shown below in the context of a four bar pattern.
Play the left hand on the snare and the right on the ride.
Adding kicks under the cymbal.
- Using the 2 minute rule, get all grooves up to a tempo of at least 120bpm.
- Use the given patterns to create further 6/8 grooves using a similar concept.
