Using 6/8 groove patterns as exercises to increase foot speed.
As in the last lesson, these exercises will be similar or the same as grooves you have learned previously, but the focus here is pushing the tempo as high as you can by using the 2 minute rule. Kicks and snares will be falling together in some places and again there is a mixture of single bar grooves and two bar grooves.
- Use the 2 minute rule to get all exercises up to a tempo of at least 140bpm.
- Create your own exercises based on these patterns.
