• Rudiment Workout: 14-05-2021 (Sixes Played Between Hands And Feet In Blocks Of Four)

    In this level 4 rudiment workout lesson you will be learning a fast and difficult movement that uses sixteenth note triplets played between hands and feet in blocks of four. The exercise is very fast and the blocks of four played in groups of six creates syncopation. This is all built up over several steps starting with the straight snare version of the rudiment. This allows you focus on one element of the exercise at a time without things getting too complicated, giving you time to develop the necessary speed and co-ordination. The exercise allows you to develop all areas of playing making it a very useful all round exercise.

    In this level 4 rudiment workout lesson you will be pushing your hand and foot speed with a very fast orchestrated 32nd note single stroke sextuplet lesson. Underneath these super fast hands the feet also play sixteenth notes. This is built up over several steps starting with the straight snare version of the rudiment. This allows you focus on one element of the exercise at a time without things getting too complicated which is useful with the high speed. While you are mostly focusing on hand speed, you will actually be developing all areas of playing making it a very useful all round exercise.
