8th - 16th Right Hand Groove Exercise

For this exercise you will be switching from eighth notes to sixteenth notes in the right hand of a groove. All right hand notes will be played with one hand. The intention of this lesson is to improve your ability to play sets of faster notes with one hand whilst maintaining stamina.

The idea for each exercise will be quite simple. Play a set number of beats as one note value then switch for the same length of time. In practice, playing sixteenths over a long period of time can be quite tough. Your right hand will get tired and your timing may get sloppy. Using this exercise, particularly if combined with the Two Minute Rule, you will notice you can play the same patterns for greater periods of time.

I have provided a different kick/snare pattern in each exercise but mix this up as much as you can.
