6/8 Grooves - Further Examples

On this page I have listed several examples of simple grooves in 6/8. The way you built grooves in our Introduction To Grooves was to take a rhythm, orchestrate it between the kick and snare then add the right hand. In these examples you are given a rhythm then an idea for groove construction based on this rhythm. These rhythms are built of crotchets, quavers and dotted crotchets. A counting checker box has been provided to make sure you are playing the rhythm correctly. On this page the checker works slightly differently, enter which counts the notes in the rhythm fall on rather than the actual counting. So in the first example you would enter '1 3 4'.
