One Beat Fills At The End Of A Bar Of 7/4

In this lesson on playing fills in the time signature of 7/4 you will be playing a fill that covers the last beat of the bar. These fills will be similar to those following the same concept in other time signatures and you can find links to some of these at the bottom of the page. The idea is quite straight forward and is a great way of mixing up your 7/4 patterns with minimal effort.

Various ideas for grooves have been taken from our level 1 and level 2 grooves lessons. A variety of rhythms and rudiments have been used for the fills and the intention is for you to use these as a starting point to create your own parts. This concept is just about the placement of the fill so there is plenty of room for variation and improvisation here.
