The Reverse Triplet With Singles Orchestrated On Crashes

In this reverse triplet orchestration concept the single strokes of the rudiment will move around the kit whilst the doubles stay planted on the snare as you have done in a similar orchestration lesson. This time however the single strokes will only be playing on cymbals. The parts should be fairly straight forward as you have may have covered similar in previous lessons but will be demanding on your right hand stamina and the crossing over of hands can really throw you off if you're note careful. Don't be afraid to start each pattern slowly and build up tempo as you get more comfortable with them.

Listed below are six exercises following this orchestration concept, remember that your hands will always be playing a reverse triplet. The first two examples are given to help familiarize you with the movements involved in the later exercises. In example 2 the right hand will cross over the left, be careful not to let the arms clash.
