In this lesson on playing fills in the Time Signature Of 6/4 you will be learning various fills that cover the last three beats of the bar. These fills will be similar to those in our One Beat Fills In 6/4 and Two Beat Fills In 6/4 only fill up more of the bar. This could be thought of as the equivalent to playing a bar of 3/4 as groove followed by a bar of 3/4 as fill, but all crammed into one bar. The reason you would notate this in 6/4 rather than split over two bars is usually down to the phrasing of the piece of music as a whole.
Various ideas for grooves and fills have been taken from our level 1 and level 2 grooves lessons. At the bottom of the page you will find a list of links to lessons you may find helpful when learning these parts.
