Double Stroke Triplet Moving In Blocks Of 6

This lessons follows on from our Standard Triplet Sticking lesson. It will be much easier to follow if you are familiar with the content from that lesson.

As with all rudiment exercises, orchestrating is an important step. In the exercises presented on this page you will learn six orchestrations for the double stroke triplet that all involve moving in groups of six. This means that change voicing on beat 3, in exactly the same way you did with this Single Stroke Triplet orchestration. The big difference here though is that the voicing doesn't exactlychange in line with the sticking. Beat one will start with a right but on beat 3, when you move, it will be with a left hand.

Feet have been included in all exercises but only as minims and crotchets. Remember to use the double stroke triplet sticking through each exercise.
