Flam Accent Moving In Blocks Of 3

This lessons follows on from our Flam Accent and Each Hand On A Different Drum orchestration lessons, it will be much easier to follow if you are familiar with the content from that lesson.

In this flam accent orchestration the rudiment will be moved around the kit in quarter note blocks, meaning you will switch voice on every numbered count. This is a nice easy way of getting the rudiment moving around the kit in simple groupings. These exercises will be very similar to similar ones for The Single Stroke Triplet and The Standard Triplet.

Remember, you hands will always be playing a flam accent in all exercises. In the later exercises the orchestration switches at various points in the bar. I have included feet in all exercises, it may be worth removing them whilst you are learning the orchestration then adding them back in later. Experiment with using different feet patterns from our previous lessons.
